How Do We Figure Out The Sex ... Of A Fossil?
Просмотров 73 тыс.День назад
We know a lot about fossils, but there's one thing about all those long-dead organisms that's hard to figure out their sex. So let's talk about the ways we can try to determine whether those T. rex bones came from a male or a female, and why figuring it out is so interesting! Correction: 02:23 While female peafowl are more drab than males, the bird pictured here is an entirely different species...

Unintentionally adding fuel to the white supremacist fire. Not your guys fault, people read things how they like to. Unfortunate that these ingrates are so prevalent.
So are we looking for non-placenta mammals (marsupials) that can reproduce on their own?
If humans did this would it be considered a crime?
So, tax the hell out of Rolex & co. for bringing chaos into the universe?

I actually was diagnosed with BOTH Solar Urticaria and PMLE. I break out in an itchy rash all over my body where the sun touches in about 5 to 10 minutes of exposure and I sometimes due get giant blisters with liquid in them as well as they last for a longggg time! Hence why they said I have both unfortunately…. Yay me…
at 4:23 I thought Yellowstone Park was an inactive but massive potential super volcano with an enormous caldera boiling underneath
I was just talking about this- something we see while breeding pythons.

This is probably the most blasphemous a science subject title could get.
I thought it was the Scots giving the World the moon.
I wonder if some of the chemical pregnancies that auto-end before you’d normally know about them might be our own attempts at parthenogenesis that don’t have the genes tagged right for a functioning placenta. 🤔

I remember watching an episode of House where his patient had a baby through parthenogenisis. He said its only ever been theorized in humans. I guess it's more than just a theory in a world that thinks Jesus is a product of virgin birth...

I'm not convinced that all of the sweeping generalisations about ABA in this comment section are particularly helpful. What if I said that people on the spectrum smash your house up? No nuance, just anecdotal evidence. Would that be any better?

I wasn’t diagnosed with autism until I was in my forties I am still learning about what autism means but this video is the best so far.

Hey! Where is the detailed comparison between hot and cold brew and cold brew times and temps? Good video, thanks for that, it is just unfinished.
Are we just not going to discuss the type of ramp it would take to put the hats on?
Thanks for answering my question.
Quick note, technically the mountain’s name is just “Denali,” the native Koyukon Athabascan for “the great one,” not “Mount Denali.” Thanks for the great video
1:43 if we don't talk about paper ...
I say that darn thing is a coprolite.
Doesn't sound 100%......Man is so proud 🤦
Uhhhh Midea and Whirlpool official service manuals state to put a glass of water at 1 minute to see if it reaches boiling...
I know this makes me sound old, but all of the references to grandfather clocks reminded me of the old Johnny Cash song. Nice tune. If you are not familiar, i recommend that you look it up. While you're at it, look up This Land Is Your Land by Woody Guthrie. Great stuff
This is also interesting in how autoimmunity and hormones interact- specifically androgens ruclips.net/video/aPkwZ4vELyI/видео.html . Makes one wonder how these hormones and the Xist process interact with each other

Womens health issues have been ignored? LMFAO. More men die of testicular cancer than breast and cervical cancer combined yet there is zero screening. The waiting time for women for a clinical psychologist id=s 6 months, For men ay best 3 years. The treatments are geared uo towards women too.
I love everything about this, but the 6 month wait, I would be worried about things getting mixed up with someone elses when it comes back lol

I would be interested in how people solve math problems. For me, I need inner speech to set up nontrivial problems, but once the problem is written down and it's just a bunch of algebra, I can usually just point my eyes at the paper or text editor and zone out. I'm college, I would frequently play a movie that I've seen before in the background to keep myself from getting board. It was only really difficult problems like a couple fluid proofs that I still remember where I had to turn the movie off and start reasoning about solution strategies. That's also why I hate working with LaTeX vs WYSIWYG editors like MS Word's equation editor (despite Word having objectively worse functionality for editing math). The extra step of translating ASCII to symbols completely interferes with my ability to understand how things interact and requires me to fall back to inner speech.
